Human Resource Manager

Our client, a privately-held nationwide logistics company, has an immediate need for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their growing team in Newfield.
nn nnOur candidate of choice will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management in supporting the HR function.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
nn nnKEY RSPONSIBILITIES:
nnBe responsible for day-to-day administration, communication, implementation and adherence of HR policies and programs.
nParticipates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
nPerforms benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to team members.
nLeads and conducts recruitment efforts for all positions, seek qualified candidates for employment through all means possible including advertising as well as attending career fairs and communicating with local employer services.
nScreen candidates and perform due diligence in the hiring process in order to present the best qualified candidates for consideration.
nConduct new hire orientation.
nOversight of career-coaching and new hire feedback program.
nResolves and investigates complex employee relation issues.
nProcess training program projects and changes.
nResponsible for ACA compliance and reporting.
nMaintain W2's, self-service, etc as needed.
nMaintain company organizational chart and team member directory.
nCompletion of employment verifications.
nProcess unemployment and temporary disability claims.
nFiling of all HR employee documentation.
nProvide payroll reports and serve as payroll backup as needed.
nAssists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
nMaintains human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database.
nMaintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning government.
nn nnKEY REQUIREMENTS:
nnBachelors Degree or 4 years of experience preferredn5-8 years minimum of HR Generalist experience demonstrating a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, performance management and recruiting efforts.
nMust be willing to participate in company training programs.
nAbility to be flexible, self-directed, motivated and able to interact with employees at all levels.
nStrong oral and written communication skills.
nExcellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
nAbility to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines.
nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
nProven ability to research and analyze information.
nPHR certification preferred.
